Institute’s objectives

• Research, documentation, maintenance, preservation of traditional architecture, especially in the region of Western Macedonia.
• Research and documentation of the various aspects of local cultural heritage.
• Presentation and diffusion of research results to the scientific community and to wider social groups.
• Promotion of educational and productive activities (education, tourism, product production) to strengthen the local community through the promotion of the cultural heritage.
• Cooperation with scientific, cultural, educational and social bodies to promote the purposes of the Institute.
• Encouraging synergies with research, educational, cultural and social institutions, as well as signing cooperation memorandums with scientific, educational, cultural and social institutions in Greece and abroad.
